The Hyatt Place Hotel built at Reno/Tahoe International Airport in 2009 required utility trenching to 25 feet, which was below the static groundwater level of 11 feet, so dewater was required. Laboratory test results found serious contaminates from hydrocarbons and heavy metals which required significant Groundwater treatment and remediation.

The earth work created high levels of turbidity which had to be treated before active carbon filtration could be used to remove the contaminants, which included benzene and other volatile hydrocarbons. ATS was selected in part due to its ability to mobilize quickly and its track record and experience with VOC contaminated groundwater. The project required 24/7 operation and the system was designed for discharges in excess of 400 GPM. The trenching portion of the project was completed without fines or shutdowns due to water quality.
