napa-river-front

Napa Riverfront was 1.5 acre development located on the Napa River and the area is subject to tidal fluctuations of between 8 and 9 feet twice each day. The groundwater level needed to be lowered to 50 feet below the surface with wellpoint dewatering to support the construction of subterranean garage and multi-story structure. The resulting groundwater contained suspended sediment, bio-solids and some toxic metals and had a fluctuating pH and required treatment.

ATS’s automated treatment system ran unattended 24/7, treating for out of range pH and filtering the water with sand filter. Real-time system status and water quality data was transmitted to ATS, Inc. for management decisions and reporting. Over 50 million gallons of groundwater was treated and discharged in compliance with the NPDES/SWPPP limits for the area, between July 2007 and May 2008.
